Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the subscription rental service available through LendABrick. By purchasing a subscription, placing an order, borrowing a set, or otherwise using our service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not subscribe to or use the service.

We're in this together!

At Lend A Brick, we want you to have endless fun with each LEGO® set you borrow. Let's keep the fun rolling for everyone! By subscribing to a Lend A Brick plan, you’re joining our awesome LEGO® club and agreeing to the terms below:

Delivery

Clean bricks? Absolutely! Every Lend A Brick LEGO® set is sanitised, sealed, and sent in our fun Lend A Brick packaging. Inside, you’ll find instructions, return info, and maybe a surprise or two!

1. Handle with Care

You’re going to love building, playing, and displaying your LEGO®. When it’s time for a new adventure, remember someone else is waiting for their turn. So treat your set like it's your own.

Before returning, please:

  • Make sure all pieces are there.

  • Send it back just like you received it!

2. The Service

LendABrick provides a subscription-based LEGO® set rental service.

Your subscription plan determines how many sets you may borrow at one time and how often you may place orders.

All LEGO® sets, pieces, minifigures, instruction manuals, packaging, inserts, return materials, and related items supplied by LendABrick remain our property unless ownership is expressly transferred by us in writing.

3. Eligibility

You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when subscribing or placing an order.

You are responsible for ensuring that your account details, payment details, delivery details, and contact details remain correct.

We may refuse, suspend, or cancel access to the service where we reasonably believe information provided is false, misleading, incomplete, fraudulent, or connected to misuse of the service.

4. Subscription and Renewal

Your subscription begins on the date your first successful payment is taken.

Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected at checkout, unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

The subscription price, billing frequency, and key plan details will be shown before you complete checkout.

You are responsible for ensuring that your payment method remains valid and up to date.

5. Cooling-Off and Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you are a consumer and subscribe online, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract.

If you ask us to begin providing the service during that 14-day period and then cancel within it, you may be required to pay for the service already provided up to the point of cancellation.

If a set has already been dispatched, you must return it in accordance with these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

6. Orders, Dispatch, and Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within 1 to 3 business days, but dispatch and delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We use tracked delivery services where available. Once your order has been dispatched, tracking details will be provided where applicable.

Risk in the parcel passes to you when the parcel is delivered to the delivery address you provided at checkout.

You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address is accurate and complete. If a parcel is lost, delayed, mis-delivered, or returned because you provided an incorrect or incomplete address, you will be responsible for any reasonable redelivery costs and, if the set is not recovered, any valid replacement charge under these Terms.

7. Shipping Charges

Any delivery charge payable will be shown to you before checkout.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, any shipping charge applies to the service specified at checkout and does not guarantee delivery within a particular time.

8. Borrowed Sets and Your Responsibilities

While a set is in your possession or control, you must:

a. keep it safe and secure;
b. keep all pieces, minifigures, manuals, and accessories together;
c. look after it with reasonable care;
d. not lose, sell, lend, part-exchange, dispose of, or transfer it to another person;
e. not intentionally damage, alter, repaint, glue, modify, or substitute parts;
f. keep it free from excessive dirt, smoke, moisture, and avoidable contamination;
g. return it in accordance with these Terms.

Fair wear from normal careful use is acceptable. You remain responsible for avoidable loss, damage, missing parts, and misuse while the set is in your possession or control.

9. Returns

When you have finished with a set, you must return it using the return process provided by LendABrick.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, returned sets must be:

a. dismantled into individual pieces;
b. packed with minifigures, instructions, and accessories;
c. sealed using the supplied return materials or equivalent secure packaging; and
d. returned using the supplied return label or other return method authorised by us.

You are responsible for obtaining proof of postage and keeping it until we confirm safe receipt of the returned set.

We may charge a reasonable administration fee if a set is returned without being dismantled and additional handling is required.

10. Return Labels and Packaging

Where return labels, return seals, parcel bags, water-activated tape, or other return materials are supplied, they must be used in accordance with the instructions provided.

If original return packaging cannot be reused, you must use suitable secure packaging that adequately protects the contents in transit.

We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by poor return packaging used by you.

11. Missing Pieces

We take reasonable care to ensure that sets are complete before dispatch. However, due to the nature of the service, pieces may occasionally be missing.

If you notice missing pieces during your borrow period, you must report this to us as soon as reasonably possible.

If a set is returned with missing pieces that were not reported, we may charge:

a. the reasonable replacement cost of the missing pieces; and
b. a reasonable administration fee where additional handling, sourcing, checking, or correction work is required.

Where the missing item is a minifigure, rare piece, high-value part, or multiple missing pieces, the replacement cost may be higher to reflect the actual cost of sourcing those items.

Borrowing privileges may be suspended while valid outstanding charges remain unpaid.

12. Damage

If a set is returned damaged beyond fair wear from normal careful use, we may charge the reasonable cost of repair, replacement parts, or replacement of the full set where repair is not commercially practical.

This may include, without limitation:

a. broken pieces;
b. marked, painted, glued, melted, or altered pieces;
c. water damage;
d. smoke or odour contamination;
e. damaged or missing manuals where supplied;
f. damaged storage materials or return materials supplied as part of the service.

We may use inspection notes, weight checks, stock records, photographs, and other reasonable evidence when assessing damage or loss.

13. Non-Payment, Arrears, and Replacement Charges

If your subscription payment fails, your account may enter arrears.

For the purposes of these Terms, your account enters arrears on the date a subscription payment first becomes due and remains unpaid.

If your account enters arrears, we may:

a. retry payment;
b. suspend borrowing privileges;
c. pause dispatch of further orders;
d. contact you to arrange payment or return of borrowed sets; and
e. require the immediate return of all borrowed sets.

If a borrowed LEGO® set has not been returned within 16 days of your account entering arrears, LendABrick may charge the payment method held on file for the current replacement cost of the unreturned set.

For the purposes of these Terms, current replacement cost means the reasonable cost to LendABrick of replacing the set at the time the charge is made. This may reflect the current market cost of obtaining the same set or, where that is not reasonably available, the cost of obtaining an equivalent replacement.

By subscribing, placing an order, or updating your payment details, you authorise LendABrick to use the payment method held on file to recover:

a. overdue subscription payments;
b. the current replacement cost of any set not returned within the 16-day period above;
c. valid charges for missing parts or damage;
d. reasonable administration fees properly due under these Terms; and
e. agreed redelivery or recovery costs.

Where reasonably practicable, we will give notice before processing a replacement or recovery charge.

If the replacement charge is successfully processed for an unreturned set, we may treat that set as paid for and may close the related rental transaction without requiring the set to be returned.

Nothing in this clause limits our right to recover unpaid sums or unreturned stock by any other lawful means.

14. Cancellation of Subscription

You may cancel your subscription by following the cancellation process shown on our website or by contacting us using the published support email address.

Cancellation stops future renewals only. Cancellation does not remove your obligation to:

a. return any borrowed set;
b. pay any subscription fees already incurred;
c. pay any valid replacement charge, current replacement cost, damage charge, missing parts charge, administration fee, or other sum properly due under these Terms.

If you cancel while a set is still on loan, you must return it promptly in accordance with these Terms.

Where a set is not returned after cancellation, the non-return and replacement charge provisions in these Terms will continue to apply.

15. Our Right to Suspend or Cancel

We may suspend or cancel your account or subscription where we reasonably believe that:

a. payment has failed and remains unpaid;
b. you have not returned a set when required;
c. you have materially breached these Terms;
d. fraud, theft, chargeback abuse, misuse of the service, or other unlawful activity is suspected; or
e. continued supply would create a genuine operational, legal, or security risk.

Where reasonably possible, we will give notice before suspension or cancellation. We may act immediately where necessary to protect our stock, systems, staff, or other customers. Terms letting a trader cancel entirely at its own discretion are more vulnerable under UK unfair-terms rules, so it is safer to tie cancellation to real grounds like non-payment, misuse, or material breach. ()

If we cancel your subscription, that does not remove your obligation to return borrowed sets or pay sums properly due.

16. Annual Plans

Annual subscriptions renew automatically 365 days after the start date unless cancelled before renewal in accordance with these Terms.

If you wish to cancel an annual subscription, you must ensure that all borrowed sets have been returned in accordance with these Terms.

If your annual subscription renews while you still have a set on loan, any refund will be handled in accordance with the refund policy shown at checkout or otherwise communicated to you before purchase.

17. Plan Restrictions and Hero Sets

LendABrick may apply plan-based borrowing limits, eligibility rules, membership history requirements, or access restrictions for selected higher-value sets,

These restrictions may vary according to your plan, account history, borrowing behaviour, stock risk, and operational requirements.

We may refuse access to selected high-value sets where reasonably necessary to protect stock and maintain service standards.

18. Upgrades and Downgrades

If you upgrade or downgrade your subscription, the change will take effect in accordance with the plan terms shown to you at the time of the change.

Plan changes do not remove any obligation to return currently borrowed sets or pay any sums properly due under these Terms.

19. Order Amendments and Order Cancellations

Once an order has been placed, it may not be possible to amend or cancel it because processing may begin immediately.

If an order has not yet been processed, we may, at our discretion, allow a change or cancellation. We are not obliged to do so.

This clause does not affect any statutory cancellation rights you may have as a consumer.

20. Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Address

You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address entered at checkout is accurate and complete.

If an incorrect or incomplete address results in delivery to the address supplied by you, we are not responsible for any resulting loss.

If an incorrect or incomplete address causes the parcel to be returned to us, we may charge a reasonable redelivery fee before dispatching the parcel again.

If a set is lost due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you and the set is not recovered, we may charge the applicable current replacement cost under these Terms.

21. Gift Cards

LendABrick gift cards, whether physical or digital, may only be redeemed against eligible LendABrick products or subscription plans as specified at the time of issue.

Gift cards are non-refundable except where required by law.

Gift cards must be activated or used within any validity period stated at the time of purchase.

22. Referral Offers and Promotions

Referral offers, promotional credits, free shipping codes, and similar rewards:

a. are non-transferable;
b. have no cash value unless expressly stated otherwise;
c. may only be used in accordance with the offer rules in force at the time; and
d. may be withdrawn, amended, withheld, or cancelled where misuse, self-referral, fraud, or abuse is suspected.

23. Mystery Set Plans

Where a subscription plan is described as allowing one set per payment cycle, you may borrow one set during each paid cycle only.

Returning a set early does not automatically entitle you to receive another set within the same payment cycle unless your plan expressly allows that.

If you keep a set into a later payment cycle, that does not create an entitlement to extra sets beyond the limits of your plan.

24. Communications

By subscribing to LendABrick, you agree that we may contact you using the contact details you have provided for service-related purposes.

These communications may include:

a. account status updates;
b. payment reminders;
c. overdue return reminders;
d. return or recovery arrangements;
e. customer service messages;
f. important operational notices.

We may contact you by email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or post where reasonably necessary for those service-related purposes.

Marketing communications are separate. UK privacy rules draw a clear line between service messages and direct marketing, and texts or emails used for marketing usually need consent unless a limited exception applies. ()

25. Privacy

Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may share your information where reasonably necessary with service providers such as payment processors, delivery partners, software providers, fraud prevention providers, customer communication tools, professional advisers, and where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Privacy notices should accurately explain how personal data is used and shared. Absolute wording like “we never share your data with third parties” is risky if you use couriers, payment processors, or software providers. ()

26. Intellectual Property and Authenticity

All branding, website content, text, images, logos, and service materials belonging to LendABrick remain our property or the property of our licensors.

All sets supplied through the service are intended to be authentic LEGO® products unless clearly stated otherwise. If you believe you have received a non-LEGO® item in error, you must notify us promptly.

LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorise, or endorse LendABrick.

27. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to that, we are not liable for:

a. delays caused by events outside our reasonable control;
b. indirect or consequential loss;
c. losses arising from inaccurate information supplied by you;
d. losses caused by your misuse of sets or breach of these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any single order or subscription period will be limited to the amount paid by you for that order or subscription period.

Broad blanket exclusions are more likely to be challenged in consumer contracts, so this clause is drafted more narrowly. Consumer terms also need to be fair and transparent. ()

28. Changes to the Service, Prices, and Terms

We may change our prices, plans, borrowing limits, available sets, delivery arrangements, or these Terms from time to time.

Where a change materially affects your subscription, we will give reasonable notice before the change takes effect, unless the change is required sooner for legal, regulatory, security, or operational reasons.

Any updated Terms will be posted on our website.

29. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force.

If we do not enforce a right immediately, that does not mean we waive it.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer law allows otherwise.
