LEGO Summer 2026 Reveals: Shrek, Upscaled Darth Vader, Harry Potter, One Piece & Everything Else You Need to Know

This week LEGO dropped the entire summer 2026 wave in one go — and it's one of the most exciting lineups in years. Shrek is finally LEGO. Darth Vader is getting the upscaled minifigure treatment. Harry Potter turns 25. One Piece Season 2 sets are open for pre-order. And a SEGA Genesis is coming. Here's everything you need to know about what's been revealed and what's worth your attention.

LEGO Shrek Is Here — And It's Everything (72423, £109.99)

LEGO® 72423 Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots — 1,403 pieces, £109.99, out 1 June 2026

Twenty-five years after Shrek first stomped onto cinema screens, LEGO has finally done what fans have been asking for since the brand licensing era began — and the result is genuinely brilliant. The 1,403-piece 72423 Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots launches exclusively from LEGO.com and LEGO Stores on 1 June 2026, priced at £109.99 in the UK.

The set builds large posable figures of Shrek and Donkey on a swamp base — complete with sunflowers, an onion (yes, the ogre layers metaphor is in there), a blue flower with red thorns, and the classic 'Beware Ogre!' sign. Puss in Boots is included as a minifigure with sword, cape and feathered hat. Crucially, all details including the eyes and Shrek's mouth are fully printed — no stickers. At 7.8p per piece it's reasonable value for an 18+ licensed display piece.

There's also a smaller 40923 Shrek, Donkey & Gingy BrickHeadz set at £19.99 — three figures including the Gingerbread Man — perfect if you want Shrek on the shelf without the full commitment. Both are pre-orderable now and will sell fast. Jay from Jay's Brick Blog called it a must pre-order. He's not wrong.

The box art alone is worth framing

LEGO Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure (75461, £89.99) — June 1

LEGO® 75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader and 75448 Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver Helmet — both out 1 June 2026

Following the Up-Scaled Harry Potter & Hermione Granger set from 2023, LEGO is back with its most iconic candidate yet: a super-sized Darth Vader in classic minifigure form. The 75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure is 1,028 pieces, stands 28cm (11 inches) tall — roughly six times the size of a standard minifigure — and comes with a fabric cloak and red lightsaber. It releases on 1 June 2026 at £89.99.

The format is the clever part. This isn't a bust or a statue — it's Darth Vader as a giant LEGO minifigure, with the right arm posable to hold the lightsaber. It's playful, instantly recognisable, and will look fantastic next to other Star Wars display pieces. At 1,028 pieces for £89.99 it's on the pricier side per piece, but as a display centrepiece it's hard to argue with the result. Pre-order open now for 1 June.

Alongside it, 75458 Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver Helmet drops on the same date — 775 pieces, £59.99. Tied to the upcoming Mandalorian & Grogu film (in UK cinemas 22 May), this is a solid addition to the helmet collection and pairs well with the existing Stormtrooper and Dark Trooper helmets.

LEGO One Piece Season 2 — Six New Sets, Pre-Order Now (August 1)

LEGO and Netflix have revealed six new One Piece sets based on Season 2 of the live-action show, all releasing on 1 August 2026 and open for pre-order now. The headline set is 75646 Garp's Marine Battleship — 1,705 pieces, £149.99, eight minifigures including first-ever appearances of Vice Admiral Garp and Miss All Sunday. Expect the aftermarket price on Miss All Sunday to be substantial given she's exclusive to the most expensive set.

For display fans, 75643 Tony Tony Chopper is the star — a 577-piece fully posable brick-built figure of the fan-favourite reindeer doctor, 19cm tall, priced at £69.99. First ever Chopper in minifigure form also appears in the smaller 75641 Dr. Hiriluk's Hideout (£24.99, 271 pieces). The wave spans £24.99 to £149.99 with something for every budget. Creator Eiichiro Oda was directly involved in the Chopper build — a detail the design team was clearly proud of.

The Rest of the Summer 2026 Reveals Worth Knowing

LEGO Harry Potter — 8 New Sets in June (25th Anniversary)

June is a bumper month for the wizarding world with eight new Harry Potter sets. Highlights include 76469 Dobby the Free Elf — a 2-in-1 buildable figure — and 76471 Knockturn Alley Wizarding Shops with eight minifigures. There's also a Hagrid's Dragon ('Norbert') buildable, a Hogwarts House Crest set (76462), a Hogwarts Castle East Wing expansion, and — new for the theme — a Botanical Collection-style set. Full wave drops 1 June.

LEGO Architecture: New York City (21066, June 1)

The Architecture theme is expanding its postcard-style display format this summer with 21066 New York City — The Big Apple, releasing 1 June. Details on piece count and price are still emerging but it follows the format of the January 2026 Paris set (21064). NYC is one of the most-requested Architecture sets so expect demand to be high.

LEGO Icons: SEGA Genesis Console (June)

A SEGA Genesis console is coming in LEGO Icons form in June — one of the most unexpected and nostalgic reveals of the summer wave. Full details including pricing are yet to be confirmed but the early images show the classic console design recreated in brick form, packed with gaming Easter eggs. One for the shelf of anyone who grew up in the early 90s.

LEGO Speed Champions: Fast & Furious Wave + Ken Block Hoonicorn (June 1)

The Speed Champions June wave leans heavily into Fast & Furious, with 77262 Ken Block's '65 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn V1 joined by a further Fast & Furious double pack and 77261 Ferrari 499P Le Mans Hypercar. All release 1 June. Good month for motorsport fans.
